LUBBOCK— Sam Houston looks to bring home its first victory against Texas Tech when the two teams meet at the United Supermarkets Arena on Tuesday. 

 
This will be the eighth all-time meeting between the Bearkats and the Raiders. The last matchup ended in a 68-55 loss in Lubbock on Dec. 6, 2022.  

 
Sam Houston is coming off a 65-62 victory at home against Florida A&M last Friday.  

Four Kats scored in double digits with Kaylee Jefferson leading the way with 15 points, and Sydnee Kemp right behind with 13 points. Diana Rosenthal finished with 12 points while Kassidy Dixon chipped in 10 points.  

The Bearkats shot 35 percent from the floor but made up the difference by getting to the free throw line. Sam Houston was 21 of 33 from the line.
