Kats open season with Bearkat Classic

HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston will welcome five other teams to the Bearkat Softball Complex to compete in the Bearkat Classic Thursday through Sunday.
Joining the Kats will be UTSA, Delaware, Virginia, South Dakota State and former Southland Conference foe Northwestern State. Tickets can be purchased by calling the ticket office at (936) 294-1729, online or at the gate.
Sam Houston opens the tournament against UTSA on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Kats will play Virginia on Friday at 12:30 p.m. and Delaware at 5:30 p.m.
On Saturday, SHSU will face South Dakota State at 5:30 p.m. then close the tournament Sunday with a matchup against Northwestern State at 12:30 p.m.
