HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston rallied from three-runs down to knock off Houston Christian 6-4 on Tuesday at Don Sanders Stadium.
The Bearkats (10-8) trailed 4-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth when
Joe Redfield hit a lead-off double and came around to score on a groundout by
Walker Janek.
Sam Houston tied the game in the seventh. Redfield drew a lead-off walk, and
Tyler Davis and Janek hit back-to-back doubles, the latter a two-run shot in the right-center field gap.
Myles Jefferson single handedly put the Bearkats on top in the eighth. He walked with one out then stole second base and came around to score on a pair of throwing errors.
Redfield followed with a walk and stole second base. He scored an insurance run on a double by Davis.
Chandler David got the win in relief. He threw two no-hit innings with one strikeout.
