OXFORD Ala. — The Sam Houston men's and women's cross-country teams had an outstanding performance at the 2024 Conference USA Championships on Saturday at Choccolocco Park.
The Bearkats'
Gudisa Adnow finished in fifth place, with a time of 24:07.04, earning Outstanding Senior of the Meet and first team All-CUSA honors after leading Sam Houston to a fourth-place finish.
Christian Rivera was named second team after placing 12
th with a time of 24:27.35.
Mario Ruiz gave the Kats another top 20 finish, coming in 16
th with a time of 24:37.41 to earn third-team All-CUSA accolades.
The women's team placed ninth at the cross country championships.
Ellie Galan was Sam Houston's top finisher with a time of 21:36.49 to be named third team All-CUSA as well.
