HARAHAN, La. — Sam Houston made some noise, but in the end came up shy of its goal at the Conference USA Bowling Tournament at Colonial Lanes on Saturday.
The sixth-seeded Bearkats held their own against third-seeded Youngstown State, falling 937-926 in the traditional portion of the match. The baker game was a fight to the finish, but Youngstown State prevailed by one point in the end to eliminate Sam Houston 869-869.
Arkansas State and YSU will go head-to-head Sunday morning for the right to advance to the championship against top-seeded Jacksonville State.
Each round of the tournament will be streamed live on ESPN+.
