BSN+ App Launches for OTT Devices

HUNTSVILLE - There is a new way to follow the Bearkats all season long. Sam Houston fans can now keep up with the Kats on their television with the new BSN+ OTT app for AppleTV, Amazon's Fire TV and Roku. The BSN+ app is a free download and can be found in each devices' app store.
BSN+ will feature live-streaming audio for Bearkat events both home and away, including every football game. The app will also include on-demand content from press conferences and postgame interviews, game highlights, studio shows and university features.
The BSN Podcast Network will also be part of BSN+, giving fans the opportunity to watch BSN Xtra as well as the student athlete led Kats Eye Podcast hosted by Jaylen Phillips from the football team and Lewis Rowe from men's basketball.
BSN Xtra is in its sixth season and is hosted by Jason Barfield, featuring interviews with coaches, players and university administrators. On the Kats Eye Podcast, Jaylen and Lewis talk about issues that student athletes face in the continuing changing climate of college athletics. They also invite other Bearkat athletes to the Woodforest Bank Athletic Center Podcast Studio to discuss their journey to Sam Houston.
BSN+ will also be the home of the new student led studio show The Growl, hosted by Emma Sims. The Growl will kick off its second season in the fall.
Fans can find the app in the Roku and Fire TV store by searching for BSN+ and in the AppleTV store by searching for Bearkat Sports.
The Bearkat Sports Network first launched in 2007 with the addition of online audio and video broadcasting of Sam Houston Athletics. As the university and department has grown, so has the Bearkats Sports Network. BSN is now responsible for nearly 80 productions for ESPN+ each year, more than 50 live audio productions, weekly press conferences, a basketball coaches show, two podcasts and a studio show all recorded in the new Woodforest Bank Athletic Center.
