HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston will wrap up the non-conference portion of its schedule when Southern comes to Pritchett Field on Friday.
The Bearkats (2-3-2) are looking to get back on track after losing three of its last four matches. Sam Houston began the season with wins over Houston Christian and Houston and ties with Stephen F. Austin and Incarnate Word but have since posted losses to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Lamar and Rice.
The Jaguars enter the match 1-7 on the season. Their lone win came at home against Louisiana Christian.
Friday is Senior Night for the Bearkats.

The match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
MATCH NOTES
• Sam Houston has played three different keepers in goal this season.
Cassia Souza has started four matches, and
Savannah Hall started against Lamar.
Paige Fry has appeared in two matches, playing in the net in the second half against Lamar and UIW.

Gabrielle Williams scored Sam Houston's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Lamar on Sept. 1. The true freshman is now tied for the team lead with three goals on the season.

Pam Murray accounted for the Bearkats' lone goal in a 1-1 draw against UIW on Aug. 29. She now has six for her career.

Landri Townsend's two goals against HCU gave her a team-high three for the season. She is also now seventh all-time in goals scored at Sam Houston with 16.

Tiana Johnson scored Sam Houston's lone goal in a 1-1 draw with SFA in the season opener on Aug. 15 in Huntsville.
• Sam Houston beat Houston 3-1 on Aug. 18, marking the first time in program history the Bearkats had beaten the Cougars.
Gabrielle Williams tied the game;

Jasmine Dybala added the final goal.
• Sam Houston was 0-9 previously in the all-time meeting against Houston.
• Three goals scored against Houston was the first multi-goal game against the Cougars since the two teams first played to a 3-2 Houston victory on Sept. 12, 2004.
• The victory over Houston was only the second in program history against a Power 5 conference and first over a team from the Big 12. Sam Houston defeated Mississippi State of the SEC 1-0 in overtime at Pritchett Field in the season opener on Aug. 25, 2006.
