Anthony earns indoor track weekly honor

DALLAS — Sam Houston opened the 2025 indoor track and field season with a successful showing which helped one student-athlete standout among the top performers in Conference USA over the weekend.
Sophomore Caleb Anthony captured first place in the 800-meter run at the McFerrin 12th Degree Invitational hosted by Texas A&M on Jan. 10. The Richmond Foster High School standout turned in a time of 1:54.24, the top mark in the league so far this season, which earned him CUSA Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
