BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Sam Houston women's golf team finished eleventh in the Dale McNamara Invitational at Cedar Ridge Country Club on Tuesday.
The Bearkats shot three-over par in the final round as they ended the day with +44 over 54 holes.
Amelia Guo shot three birdies in the final round, capping her week with a round of 70 after initial rounds of 72-74 to finish at +3 and tied for 13th.
Francesca Sumcad shot consistently with 73 for all three rounds of play, finishing in 24th at 6-over par.
In the end, Arkansas took the team title, finishing -11 overall. The next closest team to the Razorbacks was Oklahoma shooting -8, followed by the host Tulsa (+17).
Bomyeong Lee shot even after a birdie in the final round after shooting 77-79 and finished 53rd overall.
Gracie Heinle finished 76th with 76-85-78 on her scorecard.
Shanna Sandoval had six birdies in the final round, firing off 81-87-73 and finished 78th.
Victoria Renzi competed as an individual shooting 83-79-81 and finished 79th overall.
The Bearkats will be in action again next week to close out the fall season in The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Course in West Point, Mississippi.
The tournament will begin Monday, October 20, and is hosted by Mississippi State.
