HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Sam Houston women's golf team travel north for the Prairie Dunes Women's Collegiate, beginning Monday, October 6 at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
The event, hosted by Oklahoma, will consist of 54 holes with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
This marks the inaugural outing at Prairie Dunes playing as a par-70, 6,005-yard setup. The course was voted 23rd in 2023-2024 America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses by Golf Digest. It features narrow fairways and strategically placed sand bunkers.
The tournament consists of 14 teams including Abilene Christian, Baylor, Eastern Michigan, 13th ranked Florida, Iowa, Kansas State, Nebraska, 22nd ranked Oklahoma State, Sam Houston, Tulsa, North Texas, Wichita State, Oral Roberts, and the host Oklahoma.
Live scoring will be via Scoreboard by Clippd with updating scores throughout the round as well as the results at the end of each day. Tee off will start at 9 a.m. CT in a shotgun start.
