WICHITA, Kan. - The Sam Houston bowling team will roll against some of the top teams in the nation as it continue the early part of the season at the 2025 Mid States Championships.
The Bearkats will compete Saturday and Sunday as the season officially gets underway. The event, hosted by Wichita State, will take place at Bowlero Northridge Lanes in Wichita, Kan.
Sam Houston has had some successful history at the Mid States Championships. The team won the event in 2021 in nail-biting fashion and looks to add more hardware to the trophy case this weekend.
During the two-day event, the ladies will start Saturday morning with six traditional games. On Sunday morning, the team will bowl four Baker matches as the field will be trimmed for the afternoon match play.
The field features 24 programs, plus JV teams from Wichita State, McPherson, Newman and Ottawa.
