HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston will hit the pitch Saturday for its final home game of the season when UTEP comes to town for a Conference USA clash.
The Bearkats (5-4-2, 2-1-1) are coming off their first league loss of the year in a 1-0 stunner to Western Kentucky, which scored in the final 10 seconds of the match. Sam Houston is currently tied for fifth in CUSA along with Middle Tennessee State.
The Miners have yet to win a CUSA match this season. UTEP is 0-2-2 in the league and 3-7-3 overall including an 0-3-2 record in its past five contests with the last win coming 1-0 at Boise State on Sept. 7.
