HUNTSVILLE — After three weeks of travel, the Sam Houston soccer squad is back in action at home this weekend as Conference USA action heats up.
The Bearkats (3-3-2, 0-0-1) welcome Louisiana Tech to Pritchett Field Sunday for a 1 p.m. kick. Sam Houston is playing at home for the first time since a loss to Lamar on Aug. 31.
The Kats went 2-1-1 during its recent road swing which included a 1-0 victory at Grand Canyon and a 3-1 victory over McNeese. Sam Houston tied NM State on Sept. 20 in the CUSA opener in Las Cruces, New Mexico last weekend.
Tiana Johnson scored against the Aggies last week for her team-leading third goal of the season.
Indigo Sims,
Gianna Gomez and
Ellie Morgan have all scored twice.
Katie Bahn has played the majority of the time in goal for the Bearkats. She has started every match and has recorded 32 saves with one shutout this season.
