MURFREESBOROW, Tenn.— Sam Houston dropped a Conference USA doubleheader against Middle Tennessee on Friday at Blue Raider Softball Field.
The Bearkats (7-14, 2-2 CUSA) fell 4-2 in game one and 5-3 in game two.
The Blue Raiders took the series on a two-out, walk-off home run off of starter Amy Abke who took a one-hitter into the seventh.

Elia Hebel hit a solo home run in the fourth inning, her fourth of the season, to tie it 2-2.
The Blue Raiders struck first crossing three runs in the first inning before Makenzi Jenkins came in on relief for starting pitcher Abigail Young to stop the early bleeding.
Young (2-4) managed just one out before leaving the game and took the loss despite facing only six batters. Jenkins came in and went 5 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits on the day.
Brodie Quinlan hit an RBI double in the third to put the Kats on the board. She was the only other Kats with a hit in the game.

Amy Abke (4-7) pitched a full game and collected eight strikeouts before getting the loss on a hot seventh inning by the Blue Raiders.
Sam Houston took advantage of Blue Raider errors to score its first run of the game on an errant throw to first base.
Hebel hit an RBI single to score Kyla Heine, and Jenny Robison hit an RBI double on the first pitch to put three aboard quickly for the Kats.
Middle Tennessee was not done yet as they brought home five runners on four hits in the bottom of the seventh, including a two-out, three-run home run to get the win.
Sam Houston will close the conference series on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
