
Kats finish sixth at Music City Classic

SMYRNA, Tenn. — Sam Houston picked up another win to finish in sixth place at the Music City Classic at the Smyrna Bowl on Sunday.
The seventh-seeded Bearkats opened the bracket portion of the competition with a 4-0 sweep of sixth-seeded Wichita State. Sam Houston opened with a 199-190 win in the first game, took game two 246-186, cruised again 205-195 before wrapping up the victory 198-176.
The Kats battled North Carolina A&T to the wire with a chance to place fifth. The Aggies were able to pull out the victory 4-3.
Sam Houston finished with a record of 6-5 at the tournament and knocked down a total of 10,891 pins.
