SAN MARCOS — The Sam Houston track and field teams posted some top marks at the 2025 Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State over the weekend.
Highlighting action for the men,
Caleb Anthony posted the fastest time in the 800-meter run at 1:49.84.
Rajer Gurode had one of the best meets for the women with the second-best time in the 100 meters at 11.32 seconds and sixth in the 200 meters at 23.58.
She teamed with
Ayana Mallard-Smith,
Aleah Washington and
Anivea Gilbert to record the top time in the 4x100 relay at 44.78.
Kapualani Magnani placed third in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.03 meters.
Jayden Jones was the second fastest in the men's 100 with a time of 10.23 seconds and he was fourth in the 200 with a time of 21.05.
Tyriq Brunn was third in the 200 at 21.01, and
Edwin Rivera was third in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:41.21.
Xzamion Parker,
Javain Johnson, Jones and Brunn placed second in the 4x100 relay with a time of 39.72, and
Nikos Fotinopoulos finished second in the hammer with a distance of 58.28 meters.
