LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Sam Houston indoor track and field teams wrapped up the 2025 season at the Conference USA Championships on Saturday at the Brant Tolsma Trakc Complex.
The Bearkat men finished fourth and the women were eighth. Kennesaw State won the men's title while host Liberty took home the women's crown.
Jayden Jones had another great meet for the Sam Houston men, winning the 200 meters for the second year in a row with a time of 20.73 seconds. He also placed fifth in the 60 with a time of 6.71.
Dylan Truss also took home the gold in the pole vault with a height of 5.15 meters.
John Hanson placed second in the shot put with a toss of 16.59 meters.
Caleb Anthony won silver in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.72, and the 4x400 relay of
Kamari Fisher, Parker, Anthony and Jones captured bronze with a time of 3:12.33.
Nia Thompson claimed second place in the long jump with a distance of 6.03 meters.
Ayana Mallard-Smith took fifth in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.51 seconds
