Washington earns CUSA academic honors

DALLAS — Sam Houston graduate student Lylah Washington has been recognized by Conference USA for her work in the classroom.Â
Washington was named to the CUSA All-Academic Team. This is the first postseason honor for the Kats as this is their inaugural season. Sam Houston added beach volleyball as their 14th sport. Â
Washington won a match 2-0 with freshman Bella Wood against McNeese on Mar. 14. Â
Washington is a transfer from Lehigh and was a key player for the Kats in the indoor season. She is getting her MBA and is holding a 4.0 GPA. Â
