Relay team earns All-America honors

EUGENE, Ore. – The Sam Houston men's track team saved its best for last at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field this past weekend.Â
The Bearkats' 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Xzamion Parker, Javain Johnson, Jayden Jones and Tyriq Brunn placed 11th with a season-best time of 39.03 to earn second-team All-America honors. The squad came into the championships with the 18th-best time in the country at 19.31.Â
The relay brought home silver at the Conference USA Championships in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in May.
