Marquez tabbed to All-CUSA preseason team

DALLAS — Sam Houston coming off a fourth-place finish in CUSA last season, has landed one student-athlete on the preseason all-conference squad.
Senior midfielder Jasmine Marquez was voted to the All-CUSA team by league coaches as the season is set to get underway next week. The Porter native has been a stead contributor for the Bearkats during her career.
Last season while starting all nine conference games, she scored two goals, one game winner, as Sam Houston improved its league total of wins by two games (5) in 2024 from the previous year.
The Kats begin the season on Aug. 14 at Stephen F. Austin. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Nacogdoches.
