HUNTSVILLE. – The Sam Houston women's basketball team will look to get back in the win column and snap a two-game skid Thursday night when it hosts Jax State at Johnson Coliesum.
Tipoff for the game is set for 6:30 p.m. with Matt Pedersen and Brooke Kirchhofer on the call courtside on ESPN+.

KATS LOOKING TO SNAP TWO GAME LOSING STREAK
- Sam Houston dropped its first Conference USA road game of the season Thursday night, falling 66-60 to FIU at Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
- The Bearkats are coming off a short break after their scheduled matchup at Missouri State on Saturday was canceled due to travel issues caused by a winter storm.
- Three Bearkats scored in double figures against FIU, led by Deborah Ogayemi, who recorded her 11th double-digit scoring performance of the season with 14 points. It marked the fifth time in conference play that three or more Bearkats reached double figures.
- Sam Houston enters the contest tied for fourth place in Conference USA at 4-2, alongside Missouri State. The Kats trail Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, and Jax State in the standings.
- The Bearkats lead Conference USA and rank third nationally, forcing an average of 27.29 turnovers per game during the 2025–26 season.
