Jackson earns CUSA Athlete of the Week honors

DALLAS — Sam Houston junior Jeremiah Jackson had a solid weekend while competing in the high jump at the Charlie Thomas Invitational hosted by Texas A&M at Fasken Indoor Track.

The Cy Creek High turned in the third-best mark in Conference USA this indoor season which was good enough to earn him men's track Field Athlete of the Week, league officials announced on Tuesday. His height of 2.05 meters was also the ninth best among collegiate performers at the meet.

The Bearkats are set to compete at Texas Tech's Jarvis Scott Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Lubbock.
