- Sam Houston knocked off Missouri State 74-67 to take sole possession of second place in conference play on Thursday
- Â Bearkats had four players with double-digit scoring performance in the contest against MSU, which was the fourth time this season, Fanta Kone lead the team with 19 points, marking her seventh double-figure scoring performance in conference play

- The Kats lead CUSA and rank third in the nation with 26.5 turnovers forced per game. The Kats have forced 20+ turnovers in 21 out of the 22 games this season, with Rice being the lone exception
