Played in 12 matches and 33 sets on the season … averaged 1.18 kills and 0.79 blocks per set … had a season-high eight kills on 17 swings, hitting .294 with a season-high five blocks in win at New Orleans (10/13) … tied that mark with eight kills along with three blocks at Central Arkansas (11/3) … picked up six kills and four blocks in win at home over Houston Baptist (10/16) … had five kills and three blocks in win over Northwestern State (10/20) … also had three blocks against in win at Houston Baptist (10/27).
Assumption High School
A four-year varsity letterman in volleyball, she was also an all-state javelin thrower in track and field ... led Assumption High School to a stellar run during her volleyball career … an honorable mention all-district player as a freshman and second team all-district choice as a sophomore, Smith led Assumption to the state semifinals in 2014 and to the state semifinals a year later … followed that up with first-team all-district nods as a junior and senior, including another state runner-up finish as a junior … led Assumption to the Louisiana Division II state semifinals as a senior.
