Named CUSA Special Teams Player of the Week on 9/3 after the Kats' win at Rice ... also named CUSA Special Teams Player of the Week on 9/30 after the Kats' win over Texas State ... against the Owls he connected on a 52-yard field goal in the first quarter, his first career field goal attempt and a kick tied for the sixth longest in SHSU history ... also connected on a 26-yard field goal and nailed all 4 PAT attempts ... meanwhile, against the Bobcats he hit field goals on each of the Kats' final 2 possessions, including a game-winning 24-yard field goal with just 6 seconds left ... connected on a 46-yarder one possession earlier to cut Bobcat lead to 39-37 ... made 14 of 24 field goals on the year, tying for second in CUSA with 14 makes ... was a perfect 35-for-35 on PATs ... made game-winning field goal from 20 yards out in 10-7 win at FIU (10/22)

Austin (10/2) in the Battle of the Piney Woods
