Lucas, from Hilton, New York, is the third Up-State New York signing to the program and the first in almost 10 years.
"Taylor has been persistent about this opportunity from the beginning and even through COVID her spirits have been unwaivered to join the Bearkats," said head coach
Brad Hagen. "At the end of the day we need individuals on this roster who are going to push themselves every day without reservation in the classroom and on the lanes. Taylor has a clear understanding of what is needed of her and she's ready to attack any challenge with open arms and enthusiasm."
Lucas joins the Kats as a graduate of Hilton High School where she graduated with honors as well as an Advanced Designation Regents Diploma.
Despite the shortened high school season for the second year in a row, she averaged 216 for the year which was the third best mark in her league. He had a high series of 775 series and a high game of 288 which were both a conference best, leading her team to the Section V Sectionals. She closed out her year being honored with the "All Greater Rochester Bowler" for 2020-2021.
Lucas has a career best 300 to her name and an 804 series.
She will pursue a major in biology with her future aspirations working in the health profession.
