Trevor Isaminger enters his third season with Sam Houston Athletics after joining the department in May of 2019 as the Marketing Manager. He joined the Bearkats after following graduation with his Master’s in Sport Administration and Leadership from Augustana University (Sioux Falls, SD) in 2019. Trevor oversees the fan experience & in-game entertainment, promotions, advertising, branding, social media, and internship program for all 17 division I intercollegiate athletic sports with Bearkat Athletics. Earlier this year, he was recognized as a producer on the 2019 Football Intro Video, 2020 Bearkat Football Uniform Reveal Video, and 2020 Bearkat Athletics Rebrand Video which won 12 Telly Awards for the University.
Previously, he earned his Bachelor’s in Sport Management (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Memphis in 2017. As a student at Memphis, he served as a marketing intern for the athletics department while being involved with in-game promotions and contests. He coordinated marketing and promotional plans for men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and baseball. He also served as an event coordination intern while gaining experience on the video production crew for live streaming and replay operating systems. Also while at Memphis, Isaminger was a member of the Sports Marketing Association and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Additionally, he was a five-time dean’s list recipient as well as a recipient to the class of 2017 outstanding academic award. He regularly volunteered at sporting events in his hometown of Memphis.
Following undergraduate work, Isaminger spent time working as a Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Promotions with Augustana University from 2017-2019. He was responsible for creating and executing marketing and promotional plans for all 19 sports at Augustana. Those responsibilities included oversight of the kids club, live stream, sponsorships, tickets, branding, and social media. While there he helped grow attendance by 18 percent with the kids club and increased attendance at women’s basketball by 10 percent. During the 2017-2018 season, men’s and women’s basketball placed third in the NCAA Divisional institutional attendance records. Trevor secured a $700 valued donation with a soccer promotion benefiting Sioux Falls Humane Society.
As an active member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), Isaminger had received the Mike Cleary Stipend to attend the annual NACMA convention in 2018. He also achieved the NACMA Youth Professional of the Month and received a “Best of” award in the categories of intro video and digital promotion in 2018. Isaminger was also nominated for a “Best of” award in the intro video category for 2019 with Augustana at the June 2019 NACMA convention.
