Played in 36 games as a true freshman for the Bearkats, starting 26 of them … played great defense in the outfield, finishing the year with 41 putouts and no errors … had four putouts in back-to-back games on April 7-14 ... had the first multi-hit game of her college career on February 25 against UT Arlington … had three straight games with a walk from April 4-7, picking up three hits during that time as well ... went 1-2 with her first career double on April 27 against Southeastern Louisiana ... stole a base and scored a run in the last game of the season on May 10 ...
Cy Ranch High School
An all-state outfielder in 2016 and 2017 ... Canada put together a stellar career at Cy Ranch HS, earning all-district honors in 2015, 2016 and while landing on the first team as both a junior and senior ... also was named the Houston Chronicle’s Player of the Week in 2016 ... earned honorable mention all-district honors as a freshman ... additionally, was an academic all-district selection each season at Cy Ranch, earning academic all-state honors in 2017 ... played for the Houston Power travel team.
