2020 Season
Named preseason second-team All-SLC … played in 25 games for the Bearkats at second base, starting 23 … hit .186 with 13 hits, seven runs and 11 RBI … in a three-way tie for first on the team with two home runs … fielded .952 with 33 putouts … scored a season high of three runs with a three-run home run in the 11-4 victory over Louisiana Tech on Feb. 29 … had one stolen base on the season.

2019 Season
Started all 58 games for the Bearkats at second base … earned All-SLC third-team honors after putting up impressive power numbers at the plate … led the Bearkats with 12 home runs, 16 doubles and 39 RBI …  scored 28 runs … had 13 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games … had a season-high five RBI in 10-6 win over Illinois (2/10) … hit two home runs in an 8-0 victory over Abilene Christian (4/13) … had a seven-game hit streak, going 11 for 24 for a .458 average with four RBI, four doubles and one home run March 2-16 … hit the game-winning home run in a 2-1 victory over Nicholls in the SLC tournament championship game to send the Bearkats to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007 … selected to the All-Southland Conference Tournament team … was a Southland Conference all-academic second-team selection.

2018 Season
Played in 56 games, starting 54, as a true freshman, mainly on the Bearkat infield … hit .241 with five home runs and 22 RBI while slugging .435 … also had 16 doubles, just one shy of the SHSU single-season record and second in the Southland Conference in 2017 … finished the season with 11 multi-hit games for the Bearkats … had a two-home run game on February 18 against Northern Colorado, also picking up three RBI … had a six-game hitting streak from April 13-21 that culminated with a three hit, two double performance against Abilene Christian …

Houston Christian High School
Malia transferred to Houston Christian HS after spending her freshman season at Jersey Village HS where she was the team MVP and a first-team all-district choice ... after moving to Houston Christian she was three times named all-SPC and was twice the team MVP ... also played for the Cy Fair Intruders travel team and was a standout on the basketball court, earning the Mustang Award as a junior and being named to the all-SPC South Zone team as a sophomore and an academic all-American as a freshman.
