Made 36 appearances … 6-19 record with a 4.51 ERA … tossed a perfect inning with three strikeouts to notch a save against South Dakota (2/11) … earned first win of the season pitching a complete game through eight innings allowing just one earned run with four strikeouts against Louisiana Tech (2/19) … threw two shutout innings against UTA (2/26) … pitched 5.1 innings with three strikeouts while earning the win against Lamar (3/4) … earned another win the next day against Lamar (3/5) … got the win against Kennesaw State throwing 3.1 shutout innings (3/9) … struck out a career-high nine batters against Abilene Christian (3/25) … threw a three inning save against Abilene Christian the next day (3/26) … threw a shutout inning with three strikeouts (3/30) … threw five shutout innings with five strikeouts against SFA (4/30) … pitched every game of the three -game series against Lamar (5/6-5/7) throwing a combined 12.2 innings allowing just two runs with nine strikeouts with the appearances including a one inning shutout save and a five inning shutout with six strikeouts win on the same day (3/6) and earning another win the next day throwing 6.2 innings (3/7)

Appeared in 31 games, making 16 starts in the circle as a true freshman … went 8-8 with a team-best 3.21 ERA while leading the Bearkats in wins … pitched nine complete games and earned two saves … was second on the team with 76 strikeouts in 120 innings … threw a shutout against McNeese with six strikeouts on 3/20.
Mercedes High School
Vento is a four-year letter winner at Mercedes High School and was the Lady Tigers Female Athlete of the Year and Defensive Most Valuable Player after the season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic. She graduated in the top 10 of her class. She was first-team all-district as a junior. She was selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A/6A All-Star Game, was the Sub 6A All-Valley Female Athlete of the Year, was selected to the McAllen Monitor's All-Area second team and helped Mercedes win the bi-district championship and make it to the area finals. As a sophomore, Vento was the district's Co-Defensive Player of the Year, was also selected to the McAllen Monitor's All-Area second team and helped Mercedes win the bi-district championship and make it to the area finals. Vento was a first-team all-district first baseman and honorable mention pitcher her freshman season for her bi-district championship squad. She was also the all-area Newcomer of the Year. She is the daughter of Dina and Roy Vento.
