John Travnick joined Sam Houston State University in January 2020, overseeing the health and well-being of the baseball team. Travnick previously worked cross country and baseball at Stetson University for three and a half years.
Originally from Thousand Oaks, Calif., Travnick was a two-time scholar athlete at Moorpark College, where he competed on the baseball team. He obtained his B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training at Fresno State, where he earned a place on the President’s List for all four semesters of his attendance.
He completed his Master’s Degree at Georgia State University while working with football, women’s track & field, and baseball.
Travnick has been a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 2014 and is a Licensed Athletic Trainer by the State of Texas. He holds certifications in Functional Movement Screen – Level 1, as a Performance Enhancement Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.
