2018-19 Season
Furlong saw his playing time increase as a sophomore, appearing in 27 games and averaging 9.5 minutes on the court … averaged 3.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game … also had 14 blocks on the season … scored a season-high 11 points in a win over Jackson State (11/19) … posted season highs in rebounds with eight, assists with four and steals with two in a win over Houston Baptist (2/23).
2017-18 Season
Played in 24 games, starting seven, as a true freshman … averaged 1.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.0 minutes per game … had season-high nine points in win over St. Thomas (11/30) … rejected four shots at Great Alaska Shootout vs College of Charleston (11/23), the most by a Bearkat all season … had six points and season-high six rebounds in a win over Hardin-Simmons (11/14) … also had five rebounds in just seven minutes off the bench in a win over New Orleans (3/8).
Waco Midway High School
Was named the District 8-6A Defensive MVP as a senior ... averaged 14.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game as a junior for the Panthers ... helped lead MHS to a 20-15 record and a berth in the state playoffs in 2016 ... was named to the Super CenTex First team by the Waco Tribune-Herald as a junior ... was a fourth-team all-state choice in addition to being named a first team all-district choice and the district's defensive player of the year.
