BURKBURNETT HIGH SCHOOL:
All-State, All-Region, three-time All-District and two-time District 5-3A "Defensive Player of the Year" for head coach Danny Nix at Burkburnett ... averaged 15.7 points and 10.1 rebounds as a senior in 2009 and 13.8 points and 9.4 as a junior in 2008 ... led Burkburnett to a 31-7 record and runner-up finish at Texas Class 3A state tournament in 2008 ... Burkburnett went 29-5 in 2009, reaching the Class 3A regional semifinals ... team ranked among the top 5 in Texas Class 3A boys basketball each of the past two years

"Aaron is much stronger and has put on more than 20 pounds since his freshman year. He has a good skill package and can be a productive player. Aaron really came on in the last 10 games of the season. He will be a guy who will compete for a starting job this year. We will look to Aaron for improved rebounding and interior defense. Aaron will have an opportunity to graduate in three years."
