Herzinger was a member of the McLennan squad that finished second in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) and third at the NJCAA Region V North Championship as a freshman ... she appeared in 57 of McLennan’s 60 games, recording a .344 batting average with eight doubles, four triples, 20 home runs (team high, single-season record), 48 RBIs (fourth), four stolen bases and 55 runs scored (second) and was a NTJCAC first-team selection, National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NJCAA Division I second-team All-American, NFCA All-Region West first-team selection and NJCAA All-Academic second team ... as a sophomore she was a NTJCAA first-team selection, NFCA all-region west first-team selection and NJCAA all academic first team.
