Made major impact despite being limited to 26 starts due to injuries … appeared in 43 games, hitting .318 (35 for 110) … recorded four multi-hit performances in five-game span (Feb. 23-28), hitting a combined .455 (10 for 22) with nine RBIs and 13 total bases against UTSA, Texas Tech and Oklahoma in route to being named Southland Conference Hitter of the Week … provided the game-winning hit with an eighth-inning RBI single against No. 25 Oklahoma on Feb. 26 … finished 3 for 5 with two RBIs and a home run in a 4-3, 11th-inning victory against the Sooners … hit .356 (16 for 45) in Southland Conference games … tied for fourth on the team with five multi-RBI games while adding 10 multi-hit outings.
