Wes Nowlin joined the Sam Houston State University athletic staff as assistant athletic trainer in 2007-08.

Nowlin worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Southern Mississippi. He earned his Master of Science degree from Southern Mississippi in 2007.

A native of Pensacola, FL, Nowlin received his Bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida in 2005. He majored in athletic training at West Florida.
