KINGSVILLE - NCAA Division II 10th-ranked Texas A&M-Kingsville took advantage of six Bearkat turnovers (two fumbles, four interceptions), never having to drive more than 40 yard for any of their scores. A bright spot for the Bearkats was the play of the punt block and punting teams. Demetrius Pope blocked two punts, one of which was returned 16 yards for a touchdown by Carlton Fortson and the other rolled out of the end zone for a safety. Ryan Klaus averaged 49 yards on four punts including a 68-yarder.
