2008 Baseball and Softball season tickets set to go on sale

HUNTSVILLE, TX ? Season tickets for the 2008 baseball and softball seasons will go on sale to the general public beginning December 10 at 8 a.m. and can purchased right here on gobearkats.com. Renewals for season ticket holders from last season will be taking place prior to that date with those fans having first priority on keeping their current seats.
Season tickets for the 28 game home schedule start at only $175 and include all fifteen home conference games, a matchup with national powers Rice and Texas A&M, as well as the Inaugural Hillcrest Ford Bearkat Classic March 7-9. Reserved seats for single games will continue to be $8 with general admission tickets only $6. Tickets for the Bearkat Classic are $30 for a reserved all ?tournament and $20 for a general admission all tournament.
A new option this season is a conference only ticket plan that features all fifteen conference games that include Texas State and Stephen F. Austin for only $100.
Softball season tickets for the 15 home dates start at only $75 and include all 24 games played on the 15 dates. The home schedule is highlighted by 18 home conference games. Reserved single game tickets are $6 with general admission tickets costing only $4. A new conference season ticket is also available for softball for only $60 for all 18 home conference games. Kids 5 and under will still get in free to all games.
Both teams are coming off conference tournament titles with softball beating perennial power Louisiana-Lafayette in the NCAA tournament and baseball advancing to the championship round of the Oxford Regional. The 2008 softball season begins February 9 with a double header against Prairie View A&M. The 2008 baseball season begins February 22 with the home opener on March 4 against national power Rice.
Don Sanders Stadium will play host to the 2008 Southland Conference baseball tournament May 21-25.
