Bearkats receive votes in preseason baseball poll

Following a run to the Regional Finals in 2007, the
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its preseason Top 35, and the Bearkats were one of the teams receiving votes in the poll.
Also receiving votes is Southland Conference foe Texas-San Antonio. Three other opponents are ranked in the preseason poll with Rice at No. 3, Texas A&M at No. 20 and Baylor ranked No. 26.
The Bearkats will face Rice twice this season including the home opener on March 4. Texas A&M will visit Sanders Stadium on May 6 and the Kats will travel to Baylor on March 18.
The poll voters come from 27 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. After a preseason Top 35 listing, the remainder of the polls will feature a national Top 30.
