Desiree Taylor, 4x400 relay team win at Ty Terrell

BEAUMONT ? Desiree Taylor won the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.86 seconds and ran the third leg of the 4x400 relay as the Bearkats won the event to highlight action for the Sam Houston State women's track and field team at the annual Ty Terrell Relays.
The relay posted a winning 3:52.00 time in the 4x400. Sam Houston also finished as runner-up in the 4x100 with a mark of 3:52.00
Ebonee Stephens produced the top field event finish for Sam Houston as the runner-up in the hammer throw with a mark of 147 feet, five inches.
Three Bearkats place fourth in field events with Kristi Hermes (10' 8”) in the pole vault, Lucy Livingston (5' 9”) in the high jump and Jenny Zoch (39' 2.5”) in the shot put.
