HOUSTON -- The Sam Houston State softball team run-ruled Texas Southern twice Tuesdsay evening at Tiger Diamond, winning 13-0 and 11-1.
The Bearkats totaled 18 hits in the first game and 15 in the nightcap as Sam Houston ran its current winning streak to seven games and upped its season record to 22-19.
Amy Brown, Mikulin, Erin Burford, Tiffani Woodrum, Courtney Shoeneman, Lauren Burns, Ashley Nelson and Janaye Richardson all had doubles.
Brandi Crnkovic was the winning pitcher in the first game and Mikulin took the victory in the circle in the second. Tami Garrison pitched in relief in both contests.
Sam Houston State returns to Southland Conference action with a weekend series at Central Arkansas Saturday and Sunday.
