Gallant makes Cape Cod League All-Star team

Sam Houston State pitcher Dallas Gallant was named to the Cape Cod League All-Star game, which will be played this week at Fenway Park in Boston.
Gallant has made 10 appearances, all in relief, for the Hyannis Mets posting a record of 1-1 and an ERA of 0.92. He leads the team in strikeouts with 32 and has notched a pair of saves. His strikeout total is fifth-best in the league and tops among relievers.
Gallant, who will be a junior for the Bearkats this fall, has been part of the Kats' last two Southland Conference Tournament Championship teams, including an all-tournament selection in 2008.
The game, which will be played July 23, will be televised by The New England Sports Network (NESN) at 6 p.m.
