When did you start running track? I started running track when I was 7 years old
Who has had the greatest impact on your athletic career? My Uncle Greg made me try out for a team (I was so afraid to compete against others, because I just ran fast down the street or in the park, but he definitely boosted my confidence)!
What's your favorite sport other than Track & Field? Football
If you could participate in a different event in Track & Field, which would it be? Pole Vault, it looks sooo fun!
What is the best part about being a college athlete? Networking! I have gained so much academically as well socially in college, just by being an athlete people come up to you and talk. Another good part about being a college athlete is that people look up to you, they hold you to a higher level of accountability.
After meeting Coach Self, what was your first thought? Oh God! No I knew right off he would be a great coach just from listening to his knowledge about track and field. All in all, I knew he was going to work the crap out of me because he saw potential.
What is one thing Coach Self always tells you? Knees up, toes up! Dat' a girl!!
What opposing schools do you most look forward to competing against? SFA & UTA!
What is the highlight of your athletic career? Freshman year in college, winning so many gold medals!
Who are your favorite sports heroes? Sanya Richards, FloJO, Reggie Bush (cutie), Tyson Gay

What are three words that best describe you? Focused, Strong-minded, Goofy
If you had one million dollars, where would you go? Hawaii & Paris
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Uhh nothing I'm fabulous lol
If you had a supernatural power, what would it be? I would make people be quiet when they are talking too much, like gluing their lips closed until I'm ready for them to talk again.
Why did you choose to attend Sam Houston State University? Location & Track & field, it's not too big or too small, just right for me!
What is the most important thing you've learned as a SHSU Student-Athlete? Time & money management
What single thing will you most miss about SHSU when you leave? My track & field family & Mrs. Thompson
What is the biggest challenge you've had to overcome? Coming from a predominately black environment to a diverse one here at SHSU
As a role model to younger athletes, what advice can you give? Stay focused & never put athletics before schoolwork
