Sam Houston spirit groups and students will gather on the mall at Bearkat Plaza Thursday, Dec. 1 at 12:30 p.m. for a special "Playoff Pep Rally."
Members of the Sam Houston cheerleading squads, the Orange Pride dance team, the Bearkat marching band and Sammy Bearkat will each perform during the event.
The football team will be present and head coach Willie Fritz will address the student body.
Highlight of the "Playoff Pep Rally" will be the announcement of a special proclamation by the City of Huntsville.
NCAA Division I Playoff student tickets to the game will be on sale at the mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both Wednesday and Thursday.
Thanks to the generous gifts of Huntsville and Conroe area businesses, Sam Houston State students are receiving a 50 percent discount on the official NCAA student price of $10 and can purchase their Bearkat playoff tickets for $5.
