Tennis plays host to UTEP Saturday

The Miners were scheduled to travel to play Southland Conference foes Texas State and UTSA in San Marcos and San Antonio last week, but both contests were canceled. Sam Houston also had a home match with Abilene Christian rained out on Feb. 1.
"The girls are very excited about getting out on the courts again," Sam Houston head coach Jim Giachino said. "We're looking forward to a tough match."
Sam Houston brings a 1-1 record into the contest, defeating Prairie View A&M 7-0 in the season opener and falling last Sunday 5-2 at the University of Houston.
Next action for the Bearkats will be a home contest with Lee College on Friday, Feb. 25. The Sam Houston women's tennis team will open Southland Conference action with a road trip to McNeese State and Lamar on Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6.
