HBBA Kids Clinic After Sunday's Game

HBBA weekend passes for Sam Houston home Southland Conference series with Northwestern State April 1-3, Lamar April 15-17 and Southeastern Louisiana April 29-May 1 are available now through Poppy Nye of HBBA for all players participating in HBBA this season.
The pass allows players to attend any Friday, Saturday or Sunday home SHSU baseball game for the remainder of our season. Players are encouraged to wear their jerseys.
This Sunday begins a series of three special HBBA events. Following the 1 p.m. contest with Northwestern State Sunday, there will be a post-game kids' clinic for HBBA players in attendance.
The youngsters will have the opportunity to learn baseball skills directly from Sam Houston coaches and players. The clinic will be conducted on the field immediately following the game.
"There's nothing more fun for the players and coaches than working with the young players," Sam Houston head coach Mark Johnson said. "Their enthusiasm for the game is contagious. We hope as many HBBA youngsters as possible can participate."
Two other special HBBA events are planned as well. On Sunday, April 17, following the Kats' game with Lamar, HBBA kids will run the bases with the Bearkat players at the conclusion of the game.
On Sunday, May 1, at the regular season finale for SHSU with Southeastern Louisiana, there will be a premium item give-away and postgame autograph session. Anyone in attendance with their HBBA pass will receive a complimentary SHSU logo baseball which can be autographed by the Bearkats.
