
Jenny Pence named 2010 MVP

The senior goalkepper from Kingwood led the soccer team to its third Southland tournament appearance in four years, Jenny earned All-Conference honors for the second year in a row. She completed her career with virtually every goalkeeping record in the books including most shutouts and lowest goals against average.
Pence repeated as a first-team Academic All-Southland selection. She was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association Academic All-South squad.
Pence was one of 14 athletes recognized as "Most Valuable" for the 2010-11 at the banquet.
The Most Valuable awards for 2010-11 by sport were Jenny Pence (soccer), Alyssa Dooley (women's cross country), Patrick Krol (men's cross country), Kaylee Hawkins and Carli Kolbe (volleyball), Tim Flanders (football), Morgan Davis (women's indoor track and field), Matt Johnson (men's indoor track and field), Britni Martin and Sequeena Thomas (women's basketball), Gilberto Clavell (men's basketball), Dayna Galganski (bowling), Nadia Dubyanskaya (tennis) and Hailey Wiginton (softball).
