Morgan Davis named 2011 indoor track MVP

The junior from Waller earned all-Southland honors as the runner-up in the pentathlon at the 2011 conference indoor meet in Norman, Oklahoma.
Her score of 3,403 points in the pentathlon ranked among the five highest in Sam Houston women's indoor track history
Davis was one of 14 athletes recognized as "Most Valuable" for the 2010-11 at the banquet.
The Most Valuable awards for 2010-11 by sport were Jenny Pence (soccer), Alyssa Dooley (women's cross country), Patrick Krol (men's cross country), Kaylee Hawkins and Carli Kolbe (volleyball), Tim Flanders (football), Morgan Davis (women's indoor track and field), Matt Johnson (men's indoor track and field), Britni Martin and Sequeena Thomas (women's basketball), Gilberto Clavell (men's basketball), Dayna Galganski (bowling), Nadia Dubyanskaya (tennis) and Hailey Wiginton (softball).
