
Bowlers head to Alabama

Winners in their first tournament of the 2012-13 season at Tulane and runners-up in their second outing in Florida, the Bearkat women's bowling team looks to continue their winning ways this weekend.
After Hurricane Sandy wiped out their trip to New Jersey two weeks ago, Kat head coach Brad Hagen scheduled an appearance in the Hornet Invitational in Montgomery, Ala.
The event will be played at the Brunswick Zone bowling lanes.
Also competing in the tournament at No. 16 Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Jackson State, Tulane and Alabama-Birmingham.
The tournament will consist of a two-day schedule with five-player traditional team matches on Saturday and baker best four-of-seven matches on Sunday.
Sam Houston has rolled up an 18-5 match won-loss record through the two tournaments. In five-player tradition team play, the Bearkats are led in total pins average by Kimi Davidson (194.3), Michelle Secours (187.9) and Neishka Cardona (186.9).
