Miller earns weekly honor

Sam Houston State junior Kevin Miller was named to the CollegeBaseball360.com Primetime Performers list for his play last week.
Miller was a big part of the Bearkats sweep of nationally ranked Texas State. Miller batted .466 for the week including a game against a nationally ranked Baylor team as well. He drove in three runs and collected four doubles on the weekend. He also played a perfect third base converting on all 13 chances with 10 assists.
Both Texas State (No. 28) and Baylor (No. 29) were ranked the in CB360 top 50, which is one of the criteria for making the list.
Miller and the Bearkats swept a three-game series from Texas State for the first time since 1989 and have moved into first place in the Southland Conference at 7-2. They also jumped into the national rankings, debuting in the Collegiate Baseball poll at No. 28.
This season, Miller is third on the team in hitting with a .342 average. He leads the team in doubles with eight and is third on the club with 13 RBI. He has committed just two errors this year in 52 chances.
